Craig Huisenga - Artistic Director

Craig Huisenga, YRT’s Artistic Director, has spent his life and career dedicated to professional theatre as an actor, director, and teacher with more than forty years’ experience. As an actor, Craig has performed in Seattle, San Diego, Cincinnati, and Vancouver, British Columbia, toured to Japan and Europe and around the U.S., and worked in film, television, and commercials. He has directed in schools, community theatres, and professional theatres, and he has taught classes in acting, modeling, and Introduction to Theatre. Other theatre credits include high school drama director, associate artistic director, and managing producer.

 

Craig’s credentials extend beyond the stage and classroom. As an administrator, Craig has acquired extensive experience, including as Managing Director at NOVA Center for the Performing Arts, Interim Managing Director at Common Ground Theatre in San Diego, Marketing Associate at San Diego Repertory Theatre, Drama Director at Winston Churchill HS in Eugene, OR, and Associate Artistic Director at the Bathhouse Theatre in Seattle.

Dina Brophy, YRT Co-founder, has shone on Billings stages for more than fifteen years. With a background in theatre at Simpson College in Indianola, Iowa, she has amassed a knowledge of the business as an actor as well as an administrator. Her administrative role in the health care industry also prepared her as Operations Manager for Venture Theatre from 2004 to 2010.

Dina played Amanda in YRT's production of The Glass Menagerie and Alida in Breadcrumbs.  Dina’s riveting performances in Billings include Martha in Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf? and Corryn, the grieving mother in Gidion’s Knot (both produced by Sacrifice Cliff Theatre Company). Additionally, she has recently performed in Steel Magnolias (Billings Studio Theatre), Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike, Man From Nebraska, and August: Osage County (NOVA Center for the Performing Arts).

Caitlin Hart - Co-founder

Caitlin Hart, YRT Co-founder fell in love with acting in the drama club at Billings West High School. She went on to receive her BFA in acting from the University of Montana. From there, she performed, worked on the crew, and taught theatre workshops for three professional tours with the Montana Repertory Theatre, playing Sister James in Doubt, a Parable, Eve in The Diaries of Adam and Eve, and Anne Sullivan in The Miracle Worker

Now living in Billings with her husband and two pets, she has been glad to be a part of great theatre, including the title roles in Mary Poppins (Billings Studio Theatre), Medea (Backyard Theatre), and Sweet Charity (NOVA Center for the Performing Arts). She also received acclaim for her role as Honey in Sacrifice Cliff Theatre Company’s production of Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf? . In YRT's debut season, she played Sister James in Doubt, A Parable and Laura in The Glass Menagerie.

Caitlin also directed NOVA’s youth musical, School of Rock.
